BOOGIE WITH TAN!

 

 

Hello there and welcome!

 

'Boogie with Tan' meets every Friday at 10.30am, Northcliffe Church, Shipley. 

​

'Boogie With Tan' is a fun, social way to get the body moving, and feel good in a supportive, safe and structured class.  

 

Classes are focused on many key factors but above all it's about having a lot of fun and laughter and not taking it all too seriously!

  • Strengthening the body

  • Stability and balance

  • Postural awareness and alignment

  • Flexibility

  • Cardiovascular strength 

  • Spatial awareness

  • Body awareness

  • Increasing range of movement 

  • Memorising sequences

  • Breathwork 

  • Pain relief

  • Boosting energies and vitality

  • Improving mood

  • Positive body mindset

  • Encouraging confidence

  • Making new social connections

  • Combating loneliness and isolation

  • Reconnecting to music and rhythm

  • Having a lot of fun and laughter and not taking it all too seriously!

 

My background is contemporary dance, .having danced for Phoenix Dance Theatre, DV8 Physical Theatre and Stillhouse productions.   I have taught older adults, (chair-based, able-bodied, and care home residents with dementia) over the past 7 years with Phoenix Dance Theatre and Yorkshire Dance and as a freelancer.

Classes are £5 per session, and your first class is free, so you can try before you buy!
